Tonight’s message at Elevation was exactly what I needed. It was about how God is always faithful, and how sometimes when we are at the end of our rope and have lost all hope, how we just need to fall on our face, cry out to God, and trust Him to get us through. We need to remind ourselves that God is still God, not matter what our circumstances are, and I will worship Him no matter what life throws at me.
Well, I have been feeling lately that I need to share something that me and my wife are currently going through. Not to inform you (the reader) about our situation, but to take a step of faith and let you know that we are praying and expecting a miracle.
A few weeks ago while we were getting an ultrasound to find out the gender of our baby, we were confronted with the news that our baby has some major complications. I won’t go into all the details, but I will say that they are not minor in nature and potentially life-threatening.
Needless to say, the news was like a blow to the stomach. Situations like these rock you to your core, and really challenge your beliefs, because there is nothing that I can do to change this, nothing I can do to “help God along”. I have to put 100% of my trust in God to heal my son. So after much prayer and tears, we have a peace about our baby boy, Carter Eugene. We are continuing to pray for him, and ask that you join with us in prayer also. We are believing that come Thanksgiving, we will have a huge, living, breathing testimony of how great our God really is.
Blessings in Jesus Christ,
